Matt Pushard, a former pitcher for Brewer High School, has made the opening day roster for the St. Louis Cardinals. Pushard was acquired by the Cardinals in the Rule 5 Draft from the Miami Marlins in December 2025 and impressed during spring training, pitching 8.2 innings with 9 strikeouts and a 3.12 ERA.
