The details
In the city of Thayer, voters will decide on a 3% tax on marijuana sales as well as a 5% tax on lodging. Thayer residents will also elect three members to the school board from a field of four candidates. The Alton area has several issues on the ballot, including a proposal to allow the city to forgo annual elections for six years, a 3.5% sales tax on lodging, and a 3% tax on marijuana sales. Across the county, the Oregon-Howell school district is seeking approval for a $650,000 bond measure to fund HVAC, parking lot, and other facility repairs.
