Bridge Deck Replacement Begins Northwest of Bucklin

The first of two bridge deck replacement projects in Linn County began on Monday, March 2, with the closure of the Route U bridge northwest of Bucklin. Contractor Louis-Company LLC will be replacing the deck of the bridge over Long Branch over the next two months. A second bridge deck replacement project on the Route B bridge over Parsons Creek north of Meadville is also scheduled for later this spring.

The Route U bridge over Long Branch northwest of Bucklin has been closed for the next two months to allow Louis-Company LLC to replace the bridge deck. In addition, MoDOT crews will also be replacing the deck of the Route B bridge over Parsons Creek north of Meadville later this spring. Elsewhere in the region, MoDOT has several other projects underway, including culvert replacements, bridge maintenance, and pavement repairs along various state routes in Howard, Moniteau, and Carroll counties.
