The Rock Bridge Bruins used strong starts to the third and fourth quarters to defeat the Helias Lady Crusaders 66-49 in a Central Missouri Activities Conference girls basketball game on Friday night. Helias led 26-24 at halftime, but Rock Bridge took the lead for good with an 8-0 run to start the third quarter and then pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Helias responded with a 3-pointer and a layup from Jayli Howell to take the lead, but the teams traded points for the rest of the first quarter which ended tied at 13. Helias closed the second quarter on a 6-0 run to take a 26-24 lead into halftime, with Howell scoring 11 of her game-high 19 points in the first quarter. But Rock Bridge took control in the second half, opening the third quarter with an 8-0 run and then scoring 11 of the first 13 points in the fourth quarter to pull away.
