The Concordia R-2 School District Board of Education has selected Jeremy Covey as the district's next superintendent. Covey currently serves as the Director of Real World Learning & College and Career Readiness at the Center School District in Kansas City and brings over 14 years of experience in school administration and 26 years in education overall.

Covey is certified in K-12 special education, elementary and secondary administration, K-12 physical education and health, and elementary instruction. Current Superintendent Dr. Theresa Christian will be working with Covey over the next few months to facilitate a smooth transition, as Christian will be leaving to become the next Superintendent for the Lafayette County C-1 School District this summer.
