Mizzou Baseball completed a four-game weekend series sweep of UIC with a 10-0 shutout win in seven innings on Sunday at Taylor Stadium. The Tigers (14-2, 0-0 SEC) secured their 12th-consecutive victory as the Flames dropped to 4-10, 0-0 MVC. Across the last three games, Mizzou has scored 29 unanswered runs and held opponents scoreless for 22 straight innings.
Why it matters
The consecutive shutout wins for the Tigers marked the first since doing so at Tennessee in May 2017, highlighting the team's dominant pitching and offensive performance over the weekend. Mizzou's strong start to the season has positioned them well ahead of conference play in the SEC.
The details
Lefty Brady Kehlenbrink enjoyed a career day on the hill, working six scoreless innings while only allowing three Flames to reach base and striking out a career-high 11 batters. The Tigers got on the board early with a two-run home run by Jase Woita in the first inning, followed by solo shots from Kaden Peer, Cameron Benson, and Pierre Seals in the third. Woita added an RBI single in the fourth, and Mizzou tacked on four more runs in the fifth to take a 10-0 lead. The game was called after seven innings due to the run rule.
