Northwest Missouri high school athletes shine at MSHSAA championships

Nine high school wrestlers from northwest Missouri won state championships at the MSHSAA Class 1 Boys, Class 1 Girls, and Class 2 Boys state tournaments held in Columbia, Missouri. The champions include Miah Parker of Gallatin in the 235-pound Class 1 Girls division, as well as eight Class 1 Boys winners from the region.

In the Class 1 Boys tournament, eight wrestlers from the region claimed state championships: Nicholas Larsen of Gallatin (106 lbs), Jacob White of Trenton (120 lbs), Garrett Beane of Lathrop (126 lbs), Eli Sperry of Gallatin (144 lbs), Conner Menke of Lawson (150 lbs), Carter Harms of Maysville (190 lbs), Crae Coffey of South Harrison (215 lbs), and Ryder Herron of Rock Port (285 lbs).
