The Texas Longhorns basketball team is set to host Swiss wing Klark-Luca Riethauser for an official recruiting visit next week. The 6-foot-8 prospect recently completed a visit with the Nebraska Cornhuskers and is now drawing interest from Texas, which is looking to add to its 2026 recruiting class that already includes four-star guard Austin Goosby, a McDonald's All-American.
Why it matters
Riethauser's size and versatility as a wing player with guard-like skills could make him an intriguing addition to the Longhorns' roster. Texas head coach Sean Miller has experience recruiting international prospects, which could give the Longhorns an advantage in landing Riethauser.
The details
Riethauser has been playing in the French U21 Elite league, where he is averaging 15.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. He previously played in the FIBA U18 EuroBasket Division B, where he averaged 21.7 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists over seven games.
- Texas will host Riethauser for an official visit next week.
- The Longhorns will play Missouri on Saturday and then host LSU on Tuesday, which could be when they meet with Riethauser.
