The Southeast Missouri State (SEMO) Redhawks baseball team is set to host the Miami (OH) RedHawks for a four-game series at Capaha Field in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, starting on Friday, February 27th. This marks the first-ever meeting between the two programs, adding extra anticipation for both teams and their fans.
Why it matters
The series will provide an early-season test for the Redhawks, who are looking to build on their 3-6 start to the season against a Miami (OH) squad that currently boasts a 7-1 record. The matchup also represents an opportunity for SEMO to gain valuable experience against a Mid-American Conference (MAC) opponent, as head coach Andy Sawyers has found success against MAC teams in the past.
The details
The four-game set will unfold over the course of four days, beginning with a single game on Friday at 3 p.m. CT, followed by a Saturday doubleheader (12 p.m. & 4 p.m.) and concluding with a Sunday matinee at 1 p.m. CT. Fans can follow the action via live stats and audio broadcasts on SEMO ESPN 93.5 FM or 1220 AM.
