Environmental Tillage Systems (ETS) has announced the launch of a new combination liquid and dry fertilizer system for its SoilWarrior 4500 strip-till equipment. This system allows farmers to apply both liquid and dry fertilizers simultaneously, providing greater flexibility in nutrient sourcing and precision in application.
Why it matters
The new combination system gives farmers the ability to optimize their nutrient management by allowing them to choose the best fertilizer products for their needs each season, whether liquid or dry, and apply them with high precision directly in the crop row. This can improve early-season nutrient availability and utilization throughout the growing season.
The details
The new system features a 6-ton dry fertilizer capacity and a 1,250-gallon liquid tank, enabling farmers to cover 40-60 acres per fill at typical application rates. Both the dry and liquid systems operate with independent, prescription-based variable-rate control, allowing simultaneous and precise nutrient placement. The liquid system is well-suited for applying nitrogen, while the dry system is ideal for products like potash that perform best in granular form.
