The state tournament for girls' basketball is officially underway, and three teams from the Northland region have advanced to compete. In Class A, Mountain Iron-Buhl holds the top spot after going 28-1 and winning the section championship. In Class AA, Duluth Marshall placed second following a 22-7 campaign and its first section title since 2021.
