Saints win Friday in Northfield, prevail in Saturday shootout in Duluth

The St. Scholastica women's hockey team had its best weekend of Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play, taking five of a possible six points from a home-and-home series against St. Olaf. The Saints defeated the Oles 1-0 on Friday in Northfield, then won a shootout after a 3-3 tie on Saturday in Duluth.

The details
On Friday, an early power-play goal from CSS's Greta Culshaw-Klein held up for the 1-0 win, with goalie Makenzie Cole making 31 saves. On Saturday, the Saints led 2-0 at the halfway point but gave up three goals late to fall behind, before Hanley Block's goal with 16.6 seconds left sent the game to a shootout, which CSS won.
