Holdingford, Foley Wrestlers Advance Six to State

Both teams qualify multiple individuals for the Class A and Class 2A state tournaments

The Holdingford and Foley High School wrestling teams both qualified six individuals to the Class A and Class 2A state tournaments, respectively, at their section tournaments on February 20 and 21. Holdingford had four first-place finishers, while Foley had one champion and five runners-up advance to state.

Holdingford also had Lane Patrick (139) and Mason Lichy (285) finish as section runners-up to qualify. Royalton/Upsala had two individuals advance in Jake Leners (189) and Jackson Dietman (121). At the Section 6-2A tournament, Foley's Hunter Wilhelmi (160) took first place to qualify for the Class 2A state tournament. The Falcons also had five wrestlers finish as section runners-up to advance: Seth Ramsdell (127), Wyatt Wall (139), Jacob DeMarais (145), Teddy Rasmussen (172), and William Gutormson (189).
