Sault Ste. Marie city councillors will be asked to rename a section of Anita Boulevard after two-time Olympic curling champions Team Jacobs. The change would apply only to the part of the boulevard where the Soo Curlers Association is located, allowing the association to have the address of 1 Team Jacobs Way, while leaving the existing addresses of homeowners on Anita Boulevard unchanged.

Ward 5 Coun. Matthew Scott and Ward 3 Coun. Ron Zagordo are proposing the change, which would rename just a section of Anita Boulevard to Team Jacobs Way. This would allow the Soo Curlers Association, a foundational part of the city's curling success, to have the address of 1 Team Jacobs Way, while homeowners on the rest of Anita Boulevard would retain their existing addresses.
