The NMU alpine ski teams got off to a great start in day one of the USCSA Regional Championships, with both teams winning the team slalom and claiming five of six podium finishes. The women's team was led by Ashley Schaffer and Tommie Springer who finished first and second, while the men's team swept the podium with Kyan Hopke, Noah Bindas, and Cashton Jaeger taking the top three spots.

On the men's side, Hopke won gold with a time of 1:06.83, Bindas took silver with 1:08.50, and Jaeger earned bronze with 34.98. The Wildcats claimed six of the top seven spots in the men's event.
