The details
The Kalrecovery development will be located at 333 E. Alcott St. in Kalamazoo's Edison neighborhood and will feature three buildings: a three-story elevator-serviced building with 36 one-bedroom apartments, two-story walk-ups with 12 two- and three-bedroom units for families, and shared amenities like group therapy spaces, counseling offices, walking trails, community gardens, and a play area. Residents will pay no more than 30% of their income in rent, with all utilities included. Over 40 hours of on-site services will be provided weekly, including substance use and mental health counseling, medication-assisted treatment, vocational training, and peer recovery support.
