The 24th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan will take place this Saturday, March 14. The parade, organized by the Irish American Club of Kalamazoo, will feature honored guests, sports teams, musical acts, and other diverse participants marching through the city's streets.

The details

The parade will start at 11 a.m. from the Downtown Kalamazoo Mall, march south down Burdick Street, turn right on Cedar Street, and conclude at the corner of Rose and Cedar streets. This year's parade will feature honored guests instead of a grand marshal, including the U-17 hockey team, The Saints, representing the Irish Ice Hockey Association. Other participants include the Sons of Norway, El Concilio/Hispanic American Council, the Kalamazoo Public Safety Pipe and Drum Corps, the Kalamazoo Pipe Band, the Quinn School of Irish Dance, the Kalamazoo Rugby Football Club, the Kalamazoo Bears Women's Football Team, and the Zoo City Indoor Women's Soccer.
