Officers with the Jackson Police Department's Precinct 1 were dispatched around 12:30 a.m. to the Chapel Ridge Apartments in reference to a deceased individual. Investigators determined the man had suffered at least one, and possibly multiple, gunshot wounds and had died from his injuries.
