TOM's Racing, a renowned Japanese tuning company, has unveiled its latest project - a thoroughly restored and upgraded version of the iconic Toyota AE86 Corolla. The TOM's Heritage division has meticulously rebuilt these classic hatchbacks from the ground up, strengthening the chassis, upgrading the engine, and enhancing the handling dynamics to create a modern take on an enthusiast favorite.

The details

The TOM's Heritage AE86 restomod starts with a complete rebuild of the chassis, repairing any signs of corrosion or damage and strengthening the unibody for increased rigidity. Under the hood, the familiar 4A-G four-cylinder engine has been bored out to 1626cc, producing 188 horsepower at a screaming 7,980 rpm. TOM's has also reworked the underfloor to incorporate ground effects, improving stability and handling without adding excessive aero. The car rolls on a set of 15-inch TOM's wheels wrapped in sticky Bridgestone Potenza tires.
