In Detroit this February and March, 'Roots & Rhythm: An African Diasporic Fusion Culinary Experience' is bringing the community together for an immersive event blending soulful cuisine, live drumming, and DJ sets. Hosted by The Culinary Griot, the experience aims to honor the history, migration, and creative reinvention of diasporic food traditions while fostering connection and healing through shared culture.

The Culinary Griot, a Detroit-based culinary artist, is hosting 'Roots & Rhythm' at two beloved local venues - Griot Music Lounge on February 25th and Miss Eva's on March 11th. Guests can expect bold, flavorful dishes crafted with diasporic inspiration, live drumming performances that tap into ancestral memory, and DJ sets to keep the energy high and the dance floor alive.

• The first 'Roots & Rhythm' event will take place on February 25, 2026 from 6 PM to 11 PM.
• The second 'Roots & Rhythm' event will take place on March 11, 2026 from 7 PM to 12 AM.
