General Motors has hired former Lucid Motors executive Claudia Gast to join the company as deputy chief financial officer and vice president of strategy, corporate development, and technology partnerships. Gast will be based out of GM's California offices and will report directly to CEO Mary Barra and CFO Paul Jacobson. Her wide-ranging role will include overseeing functions previously handled by the departing president of GM Ventures, Zach Kirkman.
