Emergency Shelter Services of Berrien County is organizing its annual Coldest Night of the Year walk on February 28 in Benton Harbor to raise money for those experiencing homelessness and hunger. The event is part of a national initiative held in over 300 communities across North America, and locally will feature 2km and 5km routes starting and ending at The Secret Garden. Participants who raise specific fundraising minimums will receive a commemorative winter hat.
