Lenawee County TRIAD is hosting a Fall Prevention Workshop on March 18, 2026 to help older adults and caregivers learn how to reduce the risk of falls. The workshop will be led by Martha York, Community Education Coordinator with Wellwise Services Agency on Aging, and will cover topics like identifying home and community hazards, using safety devices, and what to do after a fall.
Why it matters
Falls are a major health concern for seniors, often leading to serious injuries, loss of independence, and even death. This workshop aims to empower older adults and their caregivers with the knowledge and tools to prevent falls and maintain safety and mobility.
The details
The Fall Prevention Workshop will take place from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the Human Services Building (River Raisin Room) in Adrian, Michigan. Participants will learn practical strategies to reduce fall risks, identify hazards at home and in the community, and explore tools to improve balance and stability.
