CardSight AI, a leading AI-powered trading card platform, has announced two major updates to its services. The company has expanded its graded card identification capabilities to support the five largest trading card grading companies - PSA, Beckett, SGC, CGC, and TAG. Developers can now instantly identify the grading company and assigned grade for cards encased in these slabs. Additionally, CardSight AI has launched a beta of its real-time trading card pricing data, starting with Baseball cards. The new pricing endpoints provide raw marketplace data, including completed auction results and current listing prices, allowing developers to access the full picture of the trading card market.
Why it matters
These updates from CardSight AI are significant for the trading card industry, as they provide developers with powerful tools to build applications around card collection management, marketplace listings, and inventory systems. The graded card identification feature unlocks new workflows by enabling instant recognition of the grading details, while the pricing data endpoints offer transparent, granular insights into the trading card market, empowering developers to make more informed decisions.
The details
CardSight AI's graded card identification now supports the five largest trading card grading companies - PSA, Beckett, SGC, CGC, and TAG. Developers can use the platform's API to instantly identify the grading company and assigned grade for cards encased in these slabs, in addition to the card details. This feature maintains a 99.5% accuracy rate with sub-second response times, and can even detect multiple graded cards in a single API call. The company has also launched the beta of its trading card pricing data endpoints, starting with Baseball cards. These new endpoints provide raw marketplace data, including completed auction results and current Buy It Now listings. The data is organized into separate sections for raw (ungraded) and graded cards, with the graded data further broken down by grading company and grade. Developers can access this information to gain a comprehensive understanding of the trading card market, rather than relying on a single estimated value.

What they’re saying
“Builders deploying our technology can now point a camera at a graded card and instantly know the card, the grading company, and the grade, in the blink of an eye. That unlocks entirely new workflows for collection management, marketplace listings, and inventory systems.”
— Eric P. Nusbaum, CEO and Co-Founder, CardSight AI
“Everyone is obsessed with knowing 'the comp,' but it's more nuanced than that. Are you insuring a collection? You need replacement cost. Selling? You need what buyers have actually paid. Evaluating a deal? You need both completed sales and current asking prices. Same card, different questions, different answers. We don't want to be in the business of telling people what their cards are worth. We give builders the underlying data and let them draw the right conclusion.”
— Eric P. Nusbaum, CEO and Co-Founder, CardSight AI
What’s next
CardSight AI plans to expand its pricing data offerings to include other popular trading card sports, such as Football, Basketball, and Hockey, in the coming months.
The takeaway
CardSight AI's latest updates demonstrate the company's commitment to providing developers with comprehensive tools to build innovative applications in the trading card industry. By enhancing its graded card identification and launching transparent pricing data, CardSight AI is empowering builders to create more sophisticated collection management, marketplace, and inventory solutions that can better serve the needs of collectors and enthusiasts.
