The University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) is opening a new University of Maryland Urgent Care location in Charles County, Maryland on Monday, March 9, 2026. The new UM Urgent Care at La Plata will be located in the Potomac Shopping Center off southbound Route 301 and will offer walk-in urgent care services seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for adult and pediatric patients over 12 months old, as well as telehealth visits seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
