The No. 7 Syracuse men's lacrosse team continues its road trip this weekend, taking on No. 10 Princeton in the ACC/Ivy Challenge on Friday. The Orange, who are 3-1 on the season, look to extend their six-game winning streak against the Tigers and pick up their first true road win since March 2025.
Why it matters
This matchup between two top-10 teams is an important early-season test for Syracuse as they navigate a gauntlet of a schedule that features 13 teams currently ranked in the top 20. A win over Princeton would be the fourth for the Orange against an Ivy League opponent under head coach Gary Gait.
The details
Friday's game will be a rematch of a 2025 NCAA Tournament matchup, which Syracuse won 16-13. The current senior class for the Orange combined for nine goals and eight assists in that game, led by a four-goal, five-assist performance from Joey Spallina. Syracuse has won six straight against Princeton dating back to 2010.
- The game is scheduled for Friday, February 27, 2026 at 4 p.m. ET.
- This is the third straight rematch from the 2025 NCAA Tournament for Syracuse, following games against Maryland and Harvard.

The judge in the case will decide on Tuesday whether or not to allow Walker Reed Quinn out on bail.
The takeaway
This case highlights growing concerns in the community about repeat offenders released on bail, raising questions about bail reform, public safety on SF streets, and if any special laws to govern autonomous vehicles in residential and commercial areas.
