The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) Director Hugh Nathanial Halpern has appointed six new members to the Depository Library Council (DLC), which advises the GPO on policy matters related to the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) and access to U.S. Government information. The new DLC members have experience working in various types of libraries and knowledge of current developments in library science and government information.

The DLC plays a crucial role in guiding the FDLP, which provides public access to government information through a network of approximately 1,100 libraries nationwide. The new council members will help the DLC and FDLP advance GPO's vision of an "America Informed" by expanding access to trusted government information.

The six new DLC members include Brent Abercrombie from the Indiana State Library, Andie Craley from Harford Community College Library, Ashley S. Dees from the University of Mississippi Libraries, Dominique Hallett from Arkansas State University, Antoine McGrath from the Internet Archive Library, and Joe Mocnik from Kansas State University. They will serve terms from June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2029, joining a current cohort of council members.
