Baltimore Police Launch 'Citywide Traffic Team' to Curb Dangerous Driving

The Baltimore Police Department has announced the launch of a new 'Citywide Traffic Team' (CTT) that will work to reduce traffic deaths and dangerous driving behaviors across the city. The CTT will focus enforcement efforts on behaviors linked to serious and fatal crashes, including speeding, impaired driving, distracted driving, and reckless and aggressive driving.

The details

Since launching on January 18, the CTT has initiated over 400 traffic stops and issued nearly 370 moving violations. This enforcement has also resulted in 72 repair orders, 334 warnings, 10 parking citations, 1 DUI arrest, and 15 towed vehicles. The CTT will also assist in enforcing the improper use of Virginia license plates by Maryland residents.
