Lehigh Swimmers Shine at Patriot League Championships

Lehigh University's men's swimming and diving team concluded the 2026 Patriot League Championships with a sixth-place finish, led by standout performances from several swimmers. Sophomore Jack Deppe broke his own school record in the 200-yard breaststroke, becoming the first Mountain Hawk to break the two-minute mark in the event. Other Lehigh swimmers set personal bests and scored points for the team throughout the four-day meet held at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.

The details

Sophomore Jack Deppe won the B Final of the 200-yard breaststroke in record-breaking fashion, swimming a time of 1:58.73 to place ninth overall and score 20 points for Lehigh. Deppe broke his own previous school record by two seconds. Several other Lehigh swimmers set personal bests, including TJ Hayes, Will Pestrichelli, Owen Higinbotham, Will Moon, Ben Kisker, Tristan Ronayne, Sam Skibo, Frankie Prekop, and Spencer Campbell.

• The 2026 Patriot League Championships took place from February 19-22 at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
• The fourth and final day of the championships was on Saturday, February 22.

What’s next

Lehigh will head back to the Naval Academy next weekend to compete in the ECAC Championships, taking place from February 27 to March 1.
