Taunton Shelter Seeks Home for Bonded Dogs Bella and Chloe

The inseparable pair must be adopted together, according to the animal shelter.

Published on Feb. 10, 2026

The Taunton Animal Shelter is looking to place Bella, a 4-year-old German shepherd mix, and Chloe, her 2-year-old bulldog mix companion, in a new home together. The bonded pair have been together since Chloe's birth and the shelter will only adopt them out as a duo.

Why it matters

Finding a home that can accommodate the needs of bonded pets can be challenging, as many adopters prefer single animals. However, separating Bella and Chloe could be traumatic for the dogs, so the shelter is committed to keeping the pair together.

The details

Bella is the more outgoing of the two dogs, while Chloe is initially shy but warms up quickly. The shelter recommends a home with no other pets and children age 12 and older, as well as a fenced yard for the dogs to run and play together.

  • The Taunton Animal Care Facility is open from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays, noon to 2 p.m. Fridays, and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
