While raising four children, Bobrowiecki earned a Bachelor of Science in Education, a Master of Education, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Early Childhood Education, going on to teach in the Dartmouth Public Schools for 32 years. In retirement, she volunteered with the St. Luke's Hospital Auxiliary, Hospice Care for SouthCoast Hospitals, and the Missionaries of Charity.
