British audio brand Arcam, now owned by Harman International, has announced the launch of the Radia Series, a new line of passive loudspeakers designed for both music lovers and movie watchers. The Radia Series includes two bookshelf models, a center channel, a subwoofer, and two floorstanding speakers, creating a complete offering for home audio setups.
Why it matters
Arcam's return to speaker design after focusing primarily on electronics for decades marks a significant milestone for the brand. The new Radia Series leverages Arcam's 50 years of audio engineering expertise, as well as the advanced research and testing facilities of parent company Harman, to deliver high-performance speakers that can integrate seamlessly into a variety of home audio systems.
The details
The Radia speakers feature a subtle yellow accent and cabinets finished in black walnut wood veneer. They include a 25mm DCC aluminum dome tweeter mounted in an Acoustic Lens waveguide for improved dispersion and phase alignment. Low and mid-frequency performance is handled by Micro Ceramic Composite cone woofers, while midrange duties are handled by Deep Ceramic Composite drivers. The R25B subwoofer features a 250mm coated fiber-composite cone woofer. When paired with Arcam's Radia electronics, the speakers can be fine-tuned via the company's anechoic EQ for optimal performance.
- The Radia Series loudspeakers will be available from authorized Arcam dealers starting in the second quarter of 2026.
- The Radia Series will make its global debut at ISE 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, from February 3-6, 2026.
