Roanwell Corporation, a manufacturer of communication equipment, has partnered with security firm United Security Inc. to launch TALON-PTT, an AI-powered push-to-talk device designed to isolate speech and filter out background noise for reliable communication in mission-critical settings like security, military, and emergency response operations.
Why it matters
Clear communication is essential for safety and effective decision-making in high-noise environments, but traditional systems can be compromised by ambient sounds from engines, crowds, alarms, and other sources. TALON-PTT's AI-driven noise filtering aims to address this challenge and improve communication reliability in critical situations.
The details
The Tactical Audio Link for Operational Noise Filtering (TALON-PTT) leverages AI-driven signal processing to isolate a speaker's voice and eliminate background noise. Designed to be compact, durable, and glove-friendly, TALON-PTT integrates with existing radio and headset systems and features adjustable noise-filtering levels and low-latency performance.
- TALON-PTT will be featured at the ISC West 2026 conference in the Emerging Technology section on March 19, 2026.
