The LSU Eunice women's basketball team claimed their second consecutive LCCAC regular season championship with a 67-58 victory over Baton Rouge Community College on Saturday. The Bengals, now 21-6 overall and 8-0 in conference play, earned an automatic bid to the upcoming Region 23 Tournament as the official Louisiana representative.

LSUE jumped out to a double-digit lead in the first half behind 11 points from sophomore Kamiera McDonald. But Baton Rouge CC fought back in the third quarter, taking their first lead since the opening basket. The Bengals, however, answered each Baton Rouge challenge, regaining the lead for good on free throws from Aryanna Ridgeway with 8:30 remaining. Bella Henry and Edurne Diaz helped seal the win down the stretch for LSUE.
