Yogianah Shanae' McKnight, known as 'Yogi,' passed away on March 23, 2026 at the age of 24 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Yogi was a standout athlete at Hopkinsville High School and Kentucky Wesleyan College, where she held records and was named athlete of the week. She was also the founder of the Black Student Union at Kentucky Wesleyan and played on the women's basketball team. In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Yogi was remembered as a creative, daring, and hardworking young woman who enjoyed shopping, dancing, singing, and pageants.

Yogi McKnight was the daughter of Marcus McKnight and Evona Parker. She was a member of Living Waters Church in Oak Grove, Kentucky. In addition to her parents, she is survived by three brothers, one sister, her maternal and paternal grandmothers, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on April 4, 2026 at the First Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, with burial to follow in the Cave Springs Cemetery.
