Murray State Athletics has announced the start of an eight-figure renovation project at the CFSB Center, the home of the university's women's and men's basketball teams. The renovation will create one of the premier basketball and entertainment venues in the region, including more than 1,000 premium seats and new loge boxes with luxurious private spaces.
Why it matters
The CFSB Center has not undergone any major renovations since it opened in 1998, so this project will significantly upgrade the fan experience and bring the facility up to modern standards for a Division I basketball arena. The premium seating and luxury boxes are expected to generate new revenue streams for the athletics department.
The details
The renovation will include a total overhaul of the lower level seating structure, creating a horseshoe shape, as well as new courtside opportunities for fans. This is the first time in Murray State history that Racer fans will have access to premium seating options like the new loge boxes at the top of the seating bowl.
- The renovation project has just begun in March 2026.
- The CFSB Center first opened in 1998.
