Louisville men's basketball has hired John Andrzejek, the former head coach of Campbell University, as their new associate head coach. Andrzejek is joining the staff of head coach Pat Kelsey after spending the previous season leading the Camels program.
Why it matters
The addition of Andrzejek to Kelsey's staff comes after Louisville lost two longtime assistants to other programs. Andrzejek brings head coaching experience from Campbell and a national championship pedigree from his time at Florida, which could provide a valuable boost to the Cardinals' coaching staff.
The details
Andrzejek spent one season as the head coach of Campbell, leading the Camels to a 16-18 overall record and 8-10 mark in Coastal Athletic Association play. Prior to that, he served as an assistant coach at Florida, winning a national title with the Gators in 2025. Kelsey lost two members of his Louisville staff last week, with assistant coach Thomas Carr departing for Indiana and executive director of player personnel Brian Kloman leaving for Auburn.
