Eastern Illinois Track & Field Heads to OVC Indoor Championships

Panthers look to build on strong performances at last chance meet

The Eastern Illinois track and field team will travel to Louisville, Kentucky, to compete in the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Indoor Championships on February 24-25. The event will be held at the newly opened Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center. Last year, the Little Rock men's team and Southeast Missouri women's team claimed the OVC indoor titles. The Panthers are looking to build on their success at the recent Illinois Last Chance meet, where several athletes had strong showings.

The details

At the Illinois Last Chance meet, several Eastern Illinois athletes had impressive results. Mason Booker placed second in the 60m hurdles with a personal best time of 8.53 seconds. David Tuala finished second in the 60m dash with a time of 7.02 seconds, while Icone Logo took second in the triple jump with a mark of 13.99m (45-10.75). On the women's side, Ashley Wrublik placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 12.02m (39-05.25), and Macey Miller finished sixth in the shot put with a mark of 11.40m (27-05.00).

The OVC Indoor Championships will be held on February 24-25, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m. each day.
The event will take place at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
