James Carl Sipes, a longtime resident of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, passed away on April 1, 2026, at the age of 86. Sipes was a former employee of Hobart Corporation and a retired dump truck owner and operator. He had been a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church since 1972 and also attended Eastern Gate Baptist Church. Sipes is survived by his wife of 53 years, Andrea Frank Sipes, as well as three daughters, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
