The WKU Softball team earned its third conference series sweep on Friday with a 7-4 win over Sam Houston. Both Lauren Satterly and Morgan Sharpe had two hits each, with Satterly hitting her first home run as a Hilltopper. Pitchers Erica Houge and Rylan Smith combined for seven strikeouts in the win.

WKU jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on a leadoff home run by Kendle White. The Hilltoppers added another run in the second inning on an error. The Bearkats took a 4-3 lead in the sixth with a two-run shot, but WKU responded with three runs in the bottom half of the inning to pull ahead 6-4.
