The $42.5 million project will modify the field dimensions, install new turf and lighting, and reconfigure thousands of seats to meet FIFA's soccer standards. Other upgrades include a new aeration and moisture control system under the field, as well as the installation of LED lighting and a seamless natural-to-synthetic turf transition around the field's perimeter.

- The final World Cup match at Arrowhead Stadium will be played on July 11, 2026.
