Norwell, Bellmont and Fremont Advance to State Title Games

Norwell, Bellmont, and Fremont each won a pair of games on Saturday to claim semi-state titles in their respective IHSAA girls basketball classes. Norwell, playing in Class 4A for the first time, will face No. 2 Center Grove for the 4A state title. Bellmont is celebrating their first semi-state championship and will play Roncalli for the 3A state title. Fremont also clinched their first semi-state title and will take on No. 2 Borden for the 1A state championship.

In Class 4A, Norwell defeated Crown Point and McCutcheon to advance. They will face No. 2 Center Grove, who knocked off Lawrence Central, for the 4A state title. In Class 3A, Bellmont won over Culver Academies and Connersville, and will play Roncalli next weekend. Fremont, in Class 1A, earned double-digit wins over Monroe Central and Elkhart Christian to clinch their first semi-state championship, and they will take on No. 2 Borden for the 1A state title.
