Four LC State Men's Basketball Players Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

Trio of seniors and a sophomore recognized for excellence in the classroom and on the court

Four members of the LC State Men's Basketball team were named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team. The honorees include seniors John Lustig, Grayson Hunt, and Peyton Nordland, as well as sophomore Dylan Skaife. The award recognizes student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically.

The details

To be eligible for the Academic All-District team, student-athletes must start in 66% of games or appear in 90%, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and be at least a sophomore. A maximum of four players per program are selected for this competitive award.

The players

John Lustig

A senior business communications major with a 3.66 GPA, Lustig is LC State's all-time leading scorer with 1,463 points. He led the Cascade Collegiate Conference in field goal percentage this season at 58.5% and was fifth in rebounding with 7.3 per game.

Grayson Hunt

A senior computer science major with a 3.85 GPA, Hunt wrapped up his four-year career with his best season. He was third in the CCC in field goal percentage at 57.8% and led the team in blocked shots with 21.

Peyton Nordland

A senior kinesiology major with a 3.86 GPA, Nordland stepped into a starting role this season and led the Warriors with an 82.3% mark from the free throw line. He dished out 64 assists and knocked down 31 3-pointers.

Dylan Skaife

A sophomore business administration major with a 3.84 GPA, Skaife made a name for himself as one of the top 3-point shooters in the CCC. He led the conference in 3-pointers made with 90, which ranks fourth in a single season at LC State.
