Indiana High School Basketball Players and Teams Honored for Academic Excellence

The Indiana Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) has announced its 2026 Academic All-State teams, honoring 87 high school seniors - 44 boys and 43 girls - who have achieved a 3.50 GPA or higher, rank in the top 25% of their class, and scored 1100 or higher on the SAT or 24 or higher on the ACT. An additional 233 boys and 181 girls received Honorable Mention recognition. The IBCA also awarded its inaugural Team Academic Award to 29 boys' teams and 99 girls' teams that maintained a cumulative 3.50 GPA or better.

The new IBCA Team Academic Award recognizes boys' and girls' basketball programs that maintained a cumulative team GPA of 3.50 or better. Local honorees include boys from Rushville, Batesville, North Decatur, and Greensburg, as well as girls from Greensburg, Oldenburg Academy, Rushville, and South Decatur.
