Community Church of Columbus has been chosen as one of 80 churches nationwide to pilot a new 12-week health and wellness program called WHOLE 4, developed by renowned psychologist Daniel Amen. The program, which will be offered through the church's Tuesday Connection support groups, aims to inspire holistic transformation across four key areas: the brain and body, the mind, relationships, and spirit.
Why it matters
The WHOLE 4 program represents a growing trend of faith-based organizations integrating health and wellness initiatives into their community outreach efforts. By providing a supportive environment for participants to address physical, mental, social, and spiritual aspects of wellbeing, the program seeks to empower individuals to honor God through improved self-care habits.
The details
The 12-session pilot program at Community Church of Columbus will be facilitated by a registered dietitian and licensed mental health counselor. Each Tuesday evening session will include a free community meal, educational videos, and opportunities for attendees to connect, pray, and journal. The goal is for participants to gain a deeper understanding of health and wellness from a faith-based perspective and develop sustainable habits to improve their overall wellbeing.
- The first WHOLE 4 session will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2026 from 6:30-8pm.
- A free community meal will be served prior to the session from 5:30-6:15pm.

What they’re saying
“So how do we reconnect to God's purpose for our life, how do we honor God with our health and wellness habits, like how do we actually think about our health and wellness as an act of worship to our creator?”
— Johnathan Isbill, MS registered dietitian (therepublic.com)
“A lot of the objective is going to be improving the education that people have around health and wellness in general and then activating more of these healthier habits in their brain and their body, in their mind, so actual psychological strategies and tips and tools, and then spiritual practices as well.”
— Johnathan Isbill, MS registered dietitian (therepublic.com)
What’s next
The first WHOLE 4 session on February 18th will focus on building relationships and establishing accountability partners for the 12-week program. Future sessions will continue to reinforce the lessons and help participants apply them to their everyday lives.
The takeaway
