The Orange Ribbon Livestock Classic, a jackpot livestock show in Winchester, Illinois, will raise money for families dealing with leukemia this year. The event was originally launched in 2025 by Winchester High School senior Myah Little to help the family of her schoolmate Braylee Littig, who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. Now in remission, Littig is joining Little to work behind the scenes on this year's show, which will feature new prizes and a single ring for all animal showings.

Why it matters

The livestock show provides an opportunity for the local community to come together and support families facing the challenges of leukemia. It also gives exhibitors from outside Scott County a chance to showcase their livestock, expanding the reach of the event.

The details

The Orange Ribbon Livestock Classic will be held on May 30-31 at the Scott County Fairgrounds. The jackpot livestock show will feature cattle, sheep, pigs, and goats. A portion of the proceeds from this year's event will benefit a foundation for families dealing with leukemia. Last year's classic drew 200 exhibitors with 500 exhibits from all over Illinois and raised $15,000 for Littig and her family.
