What they’re saying
“It's an activity that lets students who might otherwise not be heard use their voice. They not only use their voice, but they do so in a way that can, in some capacities, institute change.”
— John Rickert, Speech Team Coach (Republic-Times)
“I never imagined that I would find myself in a state final one day, but I've put a lot of work into speech over the last four years, so it really meant a lot to see my name on that poster when they dropped them, and it meant a lot to have all my teammates come out to support me.”
— Sydney Kuergeleis (Republic-Times)
