A new year-round compost drop-off program has launched in Urbana, Illinois, allowing residents to conveniently dispose of food scraps, paper products, and compostable items. The program is a partnership between WasteNot Compost and the Champaign County Environmental Stewards (CCES), and is located at the Lincoln Square Mall.

The details
The compost drop-off program will accept food scraps, 100% paper products, and certified compostable items. WasteNot will regularly empty the collection enclosure and ensure the material is turned into finished compost, a nutrient-rich soil amendment. Access to the site will cost $15 per month for participants.
