Elmer Austin, an 85-year-old resident of Salem, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Centralia Manor. Austin was a longtime member of Odin First Baptist Church and was known for his love of gardening, antique cars, and the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.
