Tommy Ervin Harold Merta, an 84-year-old resident of Salem, Illinois, passed away on March 19, 2026 at Centralia Manor in Centralia, Illinois. Merta was born on December 25, 1941 in Evansville, Indiana to Ervin and Margaret (Cobb) Merta. He had a 37-year career at World Color Press and also worked part-time and full-time at RA Computers in Salem for 26 years before retiring in 2018.
